Install v2rayNG on Android

v2rayNG runs on Android 5.0 and newer. It's ~30 MB, has no animations, and uses very little battery.

Download v2rayNG

Install from Google Play, F-Droid, or download the APK from github.com/2dust/v2rayNG/releases. Verify the publisher is 2dust before installing.

Copy your subscription URL

Sign in at shamvpn.org, open your account page, and tap Copy next to the subscription URL.

Import the subscription

Open v2rayNG, tap the menu (three lines, top left), then Subscription Setting. Tap Add, give it a name like Sham VPN, and paste the URL into the address field. Save, then tap the cloud icon to update.

Pick a server and connect

Long-press a server to run a real ping. Tap a server, then tap the V icon at the bottom right to connect. Approve the VPN permission prompt the first time.

Troubleshooting

Subscription update fails

Your DNS may be poisoned. In v2rayNG settings, set the per-app DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 and retry the update. The subscription URL itself does not change.

Android kills the connection in the background

Exclude v2rayNG from battery optimisation in Settings → Apps → v2rayNG → Battery. Some manufacturer skins (MIUI, OneUI, ColorOS) also need v2rayNG pinned in the Recents tray.
