Terms of Service

By creating a Sham VPN account, you agree to these terms. Where these terms conflict with the consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction, the law wins; the rest of the terms remain in effect.

What you get

Sham VPN provides an encrypted tunnel from your device to one of our exit nodes. While the tunnel is up, your apparent IP address is the exit node's IP, your DNS goes through the tunnel, and your traffic to third parties is encrypted in transit between your device and the exit node.

We offer:

  • A free fifteen-day welcome trial once you complete both email verification and Telegram linking.
  • Time-bound paid plans (see the pricing page for current options). We do not auto-renew — your plan expires on the scheduled date and you choose whether to extend.
  • Multi-region access on every plan, every device, every protocol the panel supports.
  • Notifications for order events, plan activation, expiry warnings, and renewal reminders, on whichever channels you have linked (email, Telegram).

What we ask of you

  • Use the service lawfully under the law of your jurisdiction. We do not police what websites you visit, but we will cooperate with lawful requests directed at attacks coming out of our nodes.
  • Do not abuse the trial. The welcome trial is one-shot per customer. Deleting and re-creating accounts to claim repeated trials may result in a permanent account block.
  • Do not run unattended high-throughput services (Tor exits, public proxies, mass port-scanning) that degrade the node for other customers. Personal-scale BitTorrent within fair-use is fine.
  • Do not share your subscription URL or device-import link with people outside your household. The device limit on each plan is enforced at the panel level; sharing past the limit does not increase your bandwidth, only your frustration.
  • Keep your account secure: a strong password if you use email signup, and do not paste your subscription URL into public chats.

We may terminate accounts that materially violate the above, with refund of the unused portion of any paid plan (pro-rated by days remaining).

Payment, billing, refunds

  • Prices are shown in the storefront before checkout. The amount you pay is what you see.
  • No auto-renewal. Your plan expires on the scheduled date; you choose whether to pay again.
  • Accepted payment: ShamCash and selected cryptocurrencies. Crypto is final at the moment of network confirmation; we cannot reverse a transaction once the chain has accepted it.
  • Refunds — within seven days of paid-plan activation, and if you have transferred less than ten gigabytes through the tunnel, we will refund you in the same currency you paid in. After seven days or above ten gigabytes, refunds become discretionary.
  • Promotional codes are best-effort. An invalid or expired code does not block checkout; it simply does not apply.

The welcome trial

  • Fifteen days, one per customer, no card required. Activates when both your email is verified and your Telegram is linked.
  • The trial subscription stops at the end of the fifteenth day unless you choose to pay for a plan. There is no charge on day fifteen.
  • The trial uses the same nodes, the same protocols, the same speeds, and the same device count as our paid plans. There is no "premium-only speed tier" kept from trial users.
  • We may change the trial duration or eligibility rules in the future. Trials granted under previous rules remain valid for their original duration.

Service availability

We aim for high uptime but make no service-level guarantee. The VPN is best-effort: nodes go down, routes break, censors adapt. We do our best to keep multiple regions up and a route open from every region we list. If a node is permanently retired, we move your subscription to an equivalent node at no charge.

See our Privacy Policy for the full description. Short version: we log billing bytes and operator actions, not your traffic.

Liability

Sham VPN is provided as-is. To the maximum extent allowed by your local consumer-protection law, Sham VPN is not liable for indirect losses (lost data, lost business, lost time) caused by service interruption, account suspension for stated cause, or downstream actions by third parties whose services you access through the VPN.

The maximum amount we will refund you for any combination of claims is the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months. For trial users, that maximum is zero.

Account termination by you

Delete your account from the privacy section of your account page. Deletion is processed within thirty days. Active paid plans are cancelled at deletion time; refunds for unused portions are issued where applicable under the refund policy above.

Account termination by us

We may terminate accounts for material breach of these terms (abuse, fraud, threatening behaviour toward our team or other customers, lawful requests directed at us that compel action). Where possible we refund the unused portion of any paid plan.

Changes to these terms

When we update these terms we change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes are also sent via email and Telegram on the channels you have linked. Continuing to use the service after a material change means you agree to the updated terms; if you do not, you can delete your account and receive a refund for any unused portion of an active paid plan.

Disputes

Disputes are resolved through good-faith conversation first — write to [email protected]. If conversation fails, the dispute is governed by the law of the jurisdiction where Sham VPN operates and resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
